Who we are

This site is operated by Manuel Group Limited, a company registered in Hong Kong, with its registered office at 7/F, MW Tower, 111 Bonham Strand, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us through the contact form on this site:

  • your name
  • your email address
  • the project type you select, if you fill that field
  • the message you write

There are no accounts on this site, no payments, and no analytics of our own. We do not buy personal data, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Writing to us is entirely voluntary. If you do use the form, the name and email fields are required, because without them we cannot reply; the project type and message are yours to fill in or leave blank. Choosing not to write to us carries no consequence of any kind.

Why we use it, and on what basis

We use what you send for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it. Where your enquiry concerns a possible project, we process it to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. Otherwise we rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.

We use it for nothing else. If we ever needed your data for a different purpose, we would ask your consent first.

Direct marketing

We do not use personal data for direct marketing. You will not be added to a mailing list, and we will not send you promotional material, unless you have separately told us that you want it. We will never provide your data to anyone else for their own marketing, whether for gain or otherwise.

Who else handles it

The contact form is delivered by Formspree, a service operated from the United States, which receives your submission and forwards it to us by email. It acts on our instructions as a processor.

This site is hosted by GoDaddy. Its servers process the technical data every website receives, such as your IP address and the pages you request.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone beyond what is described here.

Cookies

We set no cookies of our own. Our hosting provider adds its own traffic measurement script to pages on the way out, which places three cookies in your browser:

  • _tccl_visitor — identifies a returning visitor
  • _tccl_visit — records a single visit
  • _scc_session — records a browsing session

These serve our hosting provider's traffic reporting, not any purpose of ours, and this site works exactly the same without them. You can refuse or delete them in your browser settings at any time, with no loss of function.

Fonts

This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests those files from Google's servers, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect what you send us. The site is served over HTTPS, enquiry correspondence is held in access-controlled accounts, and only the people who need to answer you can reach it. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, and we cannot promise against every risk.

Where your data goes

Because our service providers operate from the United States, personal data you send us may be transferred outside your own country, including outside the European Economic Area and outside Hong Kong.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as the conversation is live, and for up to two years afterwards so that we can pick up a project that resumes later. After that it is deleted. If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable form. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance of Hong Kong you may ask whether we hold data about you, request a copy of it, and require us to correct anything inaccurate. We answer a data access request within 40 days. The Ordinance allows a reasonable fee to be charged for complying with an access request; if any fee would apply, we will tell you what it is before going ahead, and we will not charge for a correction.

You may also complain to the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong.

Requests under the European rights above are free and answered within one month.

How to reach us

Requests to access or correct your personal data, and any question about this policy, should be addressed to the Data Privacy Officer, Manuel Group Limited, 7/F, MW Tower, 111 Bonham Strand, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong.

You can also reach us at .

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date above. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
